Dexter and I arrived safely at Danza RV Resort today after a 5.5 hour drive from Leasburg Dam State Park. We got an early start, leaving at 7 and the driving was easy. I'm dry camping in a temporary spot for the next two nights until the site reserved for me for the next month opens up. This is a beautiful park right off of Route 19 South of Tucson. The area is ringed in mountains and I look forward to exploring this new area with Steve who will be arriving tomorrow evening. I can't wait! It looks like there will be lots of history, birding, and nature trails to explore. This park is on the site of an old Greyhound race track and has many awesome amenities including a sewing room (yeah!!) and a woodworking shop! They have an on-site restaurant, bar, billiard room and ballroom. Every Friday night they offer live music and dancing in the ballroom. This week is an oldies rock and roll band that I think I'll check out after supper! You just never know what you're going to find on the road!
