Trip to Boston, Favorite Art Books, Progress on the Camper Quilt

As much as I dislike driving in Boston, I couldn't resist the 20% off coupon from Dick Blick Art Materials that allowed me to stock up on my favorite watercolors paper. I use Arches 140# cold press natural white and the 22" x 30" sheets are expensive to ship and rarely go on sale. These large sheets of paper will fit nicely under my bed in the camper and keep me painting for months. I cut each sheet into several smaller sizes and can customize the size to suit the project. Traffic in the city was hair-raising, even on an early Sunday morning, and I was happy to complete the errand and arrive home safely by early afternoon.

The rain has returned so I stayed inside this afternoon with some of my favorite watercolor instruction books.

I spent a few hours today working on my Camper Quilt and it's coming along well. I'll finish piecing the center portion soon, but it will take me months to complete the hand applique. This will be a perfect project to take along with me this winter as I travel south in Wild Thing.
